Exciting news … we’re hiring!
We are looking for a Youth Ministry Worker to join our team here at Oasis Hub MediaCityUK. Under the supervision of the Lead Youth Worker, the Youth Ministry Worker’s key responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading youth ministry within the church and wider community.
- Building positive relationships with young people and promoting social, emotional and spiritual growth.
- Working alongside local youth work partnerships to support and develop the youth provision in the local community.
- Contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the church youth work curriculum.
- To support the wider youth provision within Oasis Academy MediaCityUK
As well as a passion for youth work, this is very much a relationship and ministry building role and the successful applicant will also need to demonstrate:
- A relevant qualification in Youth Work and Ministry or is able to demonstrate relevant experience at this level within the sector.
- Experience working within a youth/faith/community setting alongside other statutory and voluntary organisations
- Previous experience implementing youth ministry programmes

This Advent we are looking to do something a bit different so instead of receiving a little chocolate each day in Advent, we’re going to give a little something instead. ![]()
If you’re able to, we’re asking people to do a reverse advent calendar this December to support our Community Food Store. Perhaps you could do it with your family, or within your team at work. The idea is that each day, you add an item to a box/bag, and at Christmastime donate what you’ve collected to our hub. ![]()
We’ve given some ideas of what to donate each day, but don’t worry if you can’t stick to this, just use it as a guide and please give whatever you can. Everything you donate will go back to our wonderful community.![]()

Today is Advent Sunday - the first of 4 Sundays before Christmas. Each week we light a candle in our Advent Wreath to remember a different aspect of the Christmas story. With thanks to our PlaySpace children for our wreath, we light our first candle for Hope. We remember all who bring messages of Hope in our damaged world and pray for all who feel there is no hope. Wow, what a wonderful day we had at our Christmas Fayre today. Thank you to all our stall holders, choirs and to everyone who came to join the fun!
