This Advent we are looking to do something a bit different so instead of receiving a little chocolate each day in Advent, we’re going to give a little something instead. If you’re able to, we’re asking people to do a reverse advent calendar this December to support our Community Food Store. Perhaps you could do it with your family, or within your team at work. The idea is that each day, you add an item to a box/bag, and at Christmastime donate what you’ve collected to our hub. We’ve given some ideas of what to donate each day, but don’t worry if you can’t stick to this, just use it as a guide and please give whatever you can. Everything you donate will go back to our wonderful community.#Salford #Advent #ReverseAdventCalendar #Ordsall #MediaCityUK #OasisUK ... See MoreSee Less

Today is Advent Sunday - the first of 4 Sundays before Christmas. Each week we light a candle in our Advent Wreath to remember a different aspect of the Christmas story. With thanks to our PlaySpace children for our wreath, we light our first candle for Hope. We remember all who bring messages of Hope in our damaged world and pray for all who feel there is no hope.
